The first few snows of the winter are always so magical. I just love waking up to a world so still and completely covered in a blanket of white. Well, the magic wore off about a month ago and yet this month it continued to snow and snow and snow! It seemed like every morning we'd wake up and there it was again. Needless to say, February is not my favorite month. Here are just a few highlights from this lowest of all months.
Asher is following in his sisters' footsteps and has adopted a favorite "tee tee". He also loves Melmo (Elmo) and has to take this very noisy version to bed every night. We sneak into his room each night and pry it from his death grip because every time it moves, it makes a noise and usually wakes him up in the middle of the night. Hopefully this phase won't last long.
We all suffered from that horrible flu this month. Five to seven days of chills, fever, pounding head and body aches and nausea followed by weeks of lingering coughs. Each of the girls missed a week of school. Too bad moms don't get sick days. These two are partaking of the best medicine of all, sleep.
Claire had her first piano recital and did so well. Abbey had to opt out this night because of the before mentioned flu, but she was recovered enough by the end of the week to participate in Federation where she received a Superior rating. We are so proud of both of them.
Abbey went to a birthday party where the girls went to a salon and got their hair and nails done. She wanted to take her hair out the moment she got home, so I hurried and snapped a picture of her hair done in something other than her daily ponytail. We counted the bobby pins and there were thirty of the little darlings in this do.
Asher and Emma watching the Wiggles (you can tell by Asher's wiggle fingers) from the comfort of a cardboard box.
