Alright, so he's not really a big boy, but he is 14 1/2 months old, completely filled up his infant car seat and teetering on the brink of 20 lbs. So, it was time to switch him to a big boy car seat. I realize that he could still be rear facing, but he loathes the car so much, we thought he was ready for a change. And what do you know, he still doesn't like the car. He does, however, find Mickey Mouse Clubhouse somewhat entertaining so he it helps that he is mildly amused by watching movies. Hopefully we'll find something he really loves by Thanksgiving or our trip to California is going to be really interesting.
The kids were all laughing at how small he looked in his new seat.

Wow, Jenny. Are you turning this blog into Reynews Regularly? :)
Baby boy is sure getting big!
Jenny- be thankful he is just now getting into one of those car seats. Both Cody and Luke reached 20 pounds by 4 MONTHS!!! I had to get one of those rear facing upright carseats! And both boys hated them as well. I'm feeling for you having to make that California trip, It's a long drive, but it's a nightmare when one kid is screaming the whole way. And yes, we have done that too! Good luck!
